Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night began as a sustained project thanks to the support of fans and with it the developer Koji Igarashi, ex-Castlevania producer, showed that he was able to capture the essence of this game and adapt it into a new game with similar mechanics with a modern control . Well, if despite this you missed the mobility and gameplay of the classic installments of the series, then be prepared that the new game mode will offer an even more similar proposal.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night debuted in the middle of last year, but that doesn’t mean that ArtPlay has stopped working on it. As part of the funding campaign, the developer promised to make several additions and the next one will be coming to the game very soon and will feature an interesting game variant.
We are referring to the Classic mode, which will arrive in January 2021 as a free update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. What is striking about this addition is that it will have a horizontal scrolling perspective, which distinguished classic games from the Castlevania series.
Bloodstained’s new mode is a tribute to Castlevania
As you can see in the video that the developer shared, this new mode will offer a style of play that will also resemble its interface and game system to that of old Castlevania games, since you can see an indicator of the life of Miriam and the bosses in the top left of the screen, as well as the special object to attack, the score and the time remaining.
This mode will be against the clock and will offer an adventure of 5 levels, in which enemies of the game will be found and candles that when knocked down by Miriam will drop objects, just like in the classic Castlevania games, apart from the fact that the protagonist will be able to use a whip to attack enemies.
