On March 27, the fifth season of the animated adaptation of Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) debuted with an original episode in Japan. Again, the episode catalog update revealed that the next episode will also have a completely original story, so the story will not have a significant trailer. Fans on social media have expressed concern that these decisions will take time away from the development of the long-awaited “My Villain Academia” arc.
The next episode will be number 104 of the series in general (sixteenth of the fifth season), and will tell an original story described as follows: “Ochako, Tsuyu and Nejire from “ The Big Three ”are doing internships at the agency of Ryukyu. Suddenly, they hear news about the explosion of a drug factory that starts a fire on a mountain in a nearby country. The professional hero Selkie will send the three on a new joint mission.
The fifth season has been on air in Japan since March 27 and is confirmed with a total of twenty-five episodes, while the Crunchyroll and Funimation platforms are in charge of its distribution in the West. For his part, Horikoshi began publishing the Boku no Hero Academia manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014.

Boku no Hero Academia 5th Season Synopsis
UA Academy Class 1-A has been the focus of a substantial amount of public attention due to the multiple villain attacks they have faced over the past school year. This attention has left the Class 1-A rivals, the Class 1-B, feeling quite bitter. Wanting to demonstrate their skills, they await the opportunity given to them: a series of mock battles between the students of each class.
Classes are divided into squads of four, each tasked with capturing the other members of the group. The winner is the group that first insures the entire opposing team. While this sounds simple, a curveball is added to the mix with the inclusion of general course student Hitoshi Shinsou, who wishes to transfer to the hero course. Despite using his training with Classroom 1-A teacher, Shouta “Eraserhead” Aizawa to prove that he is capable of being a true hero, he is still far behind others due to lack of experience of him. However, Shinsou is determined to overcome this challenge. Thus begins the fierce competition between classes 1-A and 1-B, as each tries to prove that it is superior to the other.
