CD Projekt clarifies that Microsoft and Sony return policy is not their problem

Some users have gotten a refund for Cyberpunk 2077 , but others have not

Unfortunately, the debut of Cyberpunk 2077 was marred by the version of last generation consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One), since the bugs and bugs are so notorious that for many they can ruin the gaming experience. Because of this, it is a large number of players who are returning the title in order to receive their money back, but some are not. Some believe that the return process is the fault of CD Projekt RED, but the developer spoke about it and made it clear that it is not.

“We are not encouraging the players to return the game; we hope they give us a chance to improve it on the older generation of consoles. If that is not possible, we will also offer help ”.

Nowakowski made it clear that the processing of returns on these 2 platforms is not something that is within their reach, since they do not have any kind of preference, but rather adhere to the guidelines of these stores like any other developer study, so the The decision to grant the refund or not is Sony or Microsoft, as the case may be.

“You have to understand: Microsoft and Sony have a refund policy for every product that is launched digitally in their stores. Despite several articles that I have seen [indicating] that things are established by us, it is not true; these policies already are and always have been; they are not offered specifically to us. Anyone who has purchased any title on the PlayStation Network or the Microsoft Store can request a refund, and if done within certain limits, usually related to time, use, etc., they can request such a refund. Our procedure here with Microsoft and Sony is no different than any other title released in any of these stores, ”Nowakowski said.

Something important to take into account is that the refund policies of each store are found in the user agreement, which they must previously accept before using the service, so it is advisable to refer to it to learn more about these processes. As Nowakowski mentions, several parameters are considered to make an effective return, such as playing time, so there lies the answer as to why some do qualify for the return.
