Initiatives will take place not only on Facebook but also on Instagram.
Facebook has admitted that it will initiate several initiatives to see if its platforms discriminate in any way based on the race / ethnicity of its users.
As CNet notes, the announcement is due to the fact that the technology company is being pressured by civil rights organizations to combat hate speech, not only on Facebook but also on Instagram.
“The racial justice movement is a moment of great significance for our company. Any discrimination in our systems and policies goes against the desire to provide a platform where everyone can express themselves ”, pointed out the vice president of product for Instagram, Vishal Shah.
