Higurashi no Naku Koro ni opens a manga with the children of the protagonists

The first season of the franchise’s new project premiered in Japan in October 2020 and featured a total of twenty-four episodes, followed by a fifteen-episode second season released in July 2021, with Funimation in charge of its distribution in the West. Synopsis of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu
Rika Furude and Satoko Houjou are best friends who have lived in the small town of Hinamizawa for their entire lives.
