Hiromi Nakagawa had proposed to produce the Komi-san anime three years ago

Hiromi Nakagawa , Animation Director for Himouto! Umaru-chan , Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi and Senyoku no Sigrdrifa , posted an update on Twitter noting that he had already proposed about three years ago that an anime adaptation of the manga Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu ( Komi Can’t Communicate ). In his message he wrote:

“ About two or three years ago I took the original story of“ Komi-san ”to a certain producer, to see if an anime could be made, but there was no plan to do it. Now that I see the kind of animation he got, I can’t help but think that “Komi-san” is really interesting. The music reminds me a bit of the 90s, but maybe it’s just my imagination. But the animation quality is worthy of today’s technology . However, the post was removed shortly thereafter, apparently because Nakagawa talked too much. A second update wrote: ‘ I think I became a nuisance. I’m very sorry (for someone).
