Hortensia Saga anime will have 12 episodes

The official site for the animated adaptation of SEGA’s smartphone role-playing game, Hortensia Saga, revealed the distribution information for the Blu-ray / DVD compilation volumes, which also confirmed that the project will have a total of twelve episodes.

Volume 1 (episodes 1 to 4) – March 17, 2021.
Volume 2 (episodes 5 to 8) – April 28, 2021.
Volume 3 (Episodes 9-12) – May 26, 2021.

Hortensia Saga

The series has been broadcast in Japan since January 6, with the Funimation platform in possession of the global distribution rights. For its part, SEGA launched the game for smartphones in April 2015 and Pon Jea and Seiji are responsible for the publication of a manga adaptation of the game, which has been serialized in the Kadokawa publishing house’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine since last 27 of March.

Production team

Yasuto Nishikata (Killing Bites, Nanatsu no Taizai) is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS Studios.
Rintarou Ikeda (Nanatsu no Taizai, Tejina Senpai) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
Takayuki Onoda (Granblue Fantasy the Animation, Nanatsu no Taizai) is handling the character designs.
ZENTA is in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.
Rock band MY FIRST STORY performs the opening song titled “LEADER”, while Mafumafu performs the closing song titled “Yasou to Hakuchuumu”.

Synopsis of Hortensia Saga
