November 17 is a difficult date in the Star Wars world because it inevitably recalls that day in 1978. A year after the premiere of Star Wars (later known as A New Hope), George Lucas premiered a dismal program on television Christmas Special: The Star Wars: Holiday Special.
Disney wants to change the memory of such a crazy audiovisual piece (where, for example, Boba Fett debuted in the saga, even in an animated version) with a proposal more in keeping with current times: a LEGO Star Wars Christmas special that, precisely, have a few healthy laughs at the expense of the mythology of the galactic saga.
Lego Star Wars: Happy Holidays Special will premiere next November 17 on the Disney + platform and promises an animated and mocking review of the entire Star Wars saga with the indefatigable Rey taking a spin through galactic space-time.
Below you can see the first trailer for LEGO Star Wars Happy Holidays Special, where Kylo Ren’s torso and the current stars of the galaxy are also in the picture: Baby Yoda and Mando.
The special is directed by Ken Cunningham and written by David Shayne, who is also a co-executive producer. The aforementioned Josh Rimes, James Waugh, Jason Cosler, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert and Keith Malone sign on as executive producers.
Lego Star Wars: Happy Holidays Special will premiere on Disney + on November 17.
