Nintendo to increase Switch production

The Japanese company has seen an increase in demand for the console.

Nintendo have decided to increase the production units of Switch, a decision due to the fact that the console is experiencing a peak unprecedented popularity due to the pandemic of Covid -19.

Nikkei Asian Review (via Eurogamer ) says that Nintendo’s suppliers received orders with an increase of 50% higher than usual for the period between April and June. In total, it is speculated that the production of Switch units will be 10% higher than the 20 million consoles produced in 2019.

In addition to ‘Animal Crossing and New Horizons’, Nintendo has found special success with ‘Ring Fit Adventure’. A game focused on physical activity that at this time of quarantine/isolation seems to meet the wishes of the players.
