Pokémon GO starts the year with return of popular legendary

The game will offer its first January Raid today

2020 was one of the best years for Pokémon GO in terms of number of players and revenue generated. For this reason, Niantic wants to start 2021 on the right foot, so it prepared the arrival of several creatures, various events and some surprises for the game.

Starting today, you can enjoy special content, because in a few hours the January Investigation and the first Raid of the year will officially start. This will allow you to capture 2 special creatures, including one of the most popular legendaries in the franchise.

These 2 special creatures will appear in Pokémon GO today

Niantic reminded players that the January Research Achievement Meet will begin shortly. Thanks to this, all players will be able to find Chansey for a limited time. The creature will only appear for a few days, so we recommend that you take advantage of the opportunity.

Chansey will appear starting at 3:00 PM today, local time in your city. The Pokémon will be available until Monday, February 1, 2021. As we mentioned, the big surprise to start the year is the return of a legendary.

It is nothing more and nothing less than Ho-Oh, a bird that will be part of the first raid of 2021. The Pokémon will also appear for a limited time, as it can be captured from today, at 3:00 PM, until Tuesday, January 5, at 10:00 AM, local time in your city.

As if that weren’t enough, players will have the chance to find the shiny or shiny variant of Ho-Oh. Finally, Niantic recalled that the community still has the opportunity to catch some Pokémon in costumes for the New Year’s celebrations.
