TenSura’s Rimuru had a cameo in Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko

On the official Twitter account for the animated adaptation of the light novels written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra, Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko (By the Grace of the Gods), a new chapter of the Slime-tachi short series has been published no Idobata Kaigi (Conversations between Slimes), which featured the participation of Rimuru Tempest, protagonist of the Tensei Shitara Slime franchise Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime).

The series of shorts has been broadcast on the Twitter account since last August 21, and has the characters of the main franchise transformed into slimes. On the other hand, the main series premiered in Japan on October 4 and is confirmed with a total of 12 episodes, with Funimation in charge of its distribution in the West.

Roy began publishing the novels on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2015, and it is still in publication. Publishing House Hobby Japan began publishing Ririnra’s illustrated paper novels in September 2017 and published the ninth volume on August 22. The manga adaptation of Ranran’s hand is published on the Manga UP! from Square Enix publisher since November 2017.

Production team

Takeyuki Yanase (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni) is directing the anime at Maho Film Studios.
Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover, Jashin-chan Dropkick) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
Kaho Deguchi (Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai) is in charge of character design and animation direction.

Synopsis of Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko

Under the protection of the gods, his laid-back life with the slimes begins! One day, the life of a middle-aged Japanese man named Ryoma Takebayashi comes to a spontaneous and disappointing end. Ryoma was never graceful in his life, but after death, three gods requested his cooperation and reincarnated him as a boy in a world of swords and magic.

Receiving a warm and divine welcome from the gods themselves, Ryoma decides to live in a relaxed way in the forest for the moment. Working diligently to hunt and learn magic, his greatest passion becomes… training slimes?
