Synopsis of Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo (Oresuki)

Amatsuyu “Joro” Kisaragi is a completely average high school sophomore who goes on two weekend dates: with student council president Sakura “Cosmos” Akino on Saturday, then with his childhood friend Aoi “Himawari ”Hinata on Sunday. Sadly for Joro, both girls proclaim their love for their best friend Taiyou “Sun-chan” Ooga, the ace of the baseball team. By accepting each of her requests for advice and guidance, she is now responsible for helping the two girls win the same boy’s heart.

Unbeknownst to his friends, Joro’s friendly and obtuse image is almost a ruse designed to present himself as the clueless lead in a textbook romantic comedy. A schemer under her cheerful facade, she makes the best of this unexpected turn of events with a new plan: get Sun-chan to fall in love with either Cosmos or Himawari, and Joro will take the other as his own prize. But Joro’s latest effort is threatened by the shadowy, four-eyed Sumireko “Pansy” Sanshokuin, who surprises Joro not only with her knowledge of his secret personality, but also with a confession of the true self that he hid during all this time. .
