On the official site for the original anime by Aniplex and Studio VOLN, Back Arrow, the distribution information for the Blu-ray / DVD compiled volumes was revealed, also confirming that the series will have a total of 24 episodes.
Volume 1 (episodes 1-3) – April 28, 2021.
Volume 2 (Episodes 4-6) – May 26, 2021.
Volume 3 (episodes 7 to 9) – June 23, 2021.
Volume 4 (episodes 10-12) – July 28, 2021.
Volume 5 (episodes 13-15) – August 25, 2021.
Volume 6 (Episodes 16-18) – September 29, 2021.
Volume 7 (episodes 19-21) – October 27, 2021.
Volume 8 (episodes 22-24) – November 24, 2021.
The series has been on air in Japan since last January 8, and previously it had been confirmed that it would run for two consecutive arcs, although the number of episodes had not been specified. No platform owns the global distribution rights as of yet. On the other hand, Blu-ray volumes are priced individually at 8,800 yen ($ 84) while DVD volumes are priced individually at 7,700 yen ($ 74).
Different Twitter accounts also published the animated opening and closing sequences of this original project. Although they are officially published on YouTube, Aniplex always blocks their content outside of Japan. The opening sequence features the theme song “Dawn” performed by LiSA.
On the other hand, the closing sequence has the theme “Sekai no Hate (セ カ イ ノ ハ テ)” performed by Shuka Saitou.

Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass – Hangyaku no Lelouch) is directing the anime at Studio VOLN.
Kazuki Nakashima (Promare, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts for each episode.
Toshiyuki Kanno is in charge of adapting Shinobu Ohtaka’s original designs for animation and also serves as animation director.
Kouhei Tanaka is in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.
LiSA performs the opening song titled “Dawn” while Shuka Saitou performs the closing song titled “Sekai no Hate (セ カ イ ノ ハ テ)”.
Back Arrow Synopsis
Ringarindo is a land surrounded by a wall. The wall covers, protects, cultivates and nurtures this land. The wall is god… it is the foundation of this land of Ringarindo. One day, a mysterious boy named Back Arrow shows up in the town of Essha on the outskirts of Ringarindo. Arrow lost the memories of him, but says that all he knows is: “I came from beyond the wall.” To restore memories of him, Arrow heads beyond the wall, but finds himself embroiled in a battle with himself as the stakes are high.
