The actor and his wife became infected with coronavirus in March.
Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, were the first international stars infected with Covid-19. In March, during a trip to Australia, the couple fell ill and ended up receiving treatment for Covid-19 in the country. Two weeks later, they returned to the United States, where they are now living, with the rest of their family.
Four months after the harsh experience of being infected by the disease that has left the world in a trauma, the actor drew attention to the fact that the virus had “different symptoms” for different people and what symptoms did he and his wife face.
“My wife lost her taste and smell, she had severe nausea, a fever that was much higher than me. I just suffered body pain, I was always tired and couldn’t concentrate on anything for more than 12 minutes,” he said in an interview to The Guardian.
Finally, he also stressed the importance of following the basic but essential steps in preventing the virus: “Wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands”.
