When Apple released iOS 13 last year, it brought a feature called Memoji Stickers to the company’s messaging app. Soon after, the feature became available on the iOS-based WhatsApp app. This means that iPhone users can share memoji stickers created in iMessages within the platform’s chats. Now, almost a year later, WhatsApp brings the same functionality to WhatsApp Web.
To give you a bit of context, when WhatsApp brought the ability to share iOS 13 memoji on its platform, it was only available on the mobile app. This meant that iPhone users who accessed their accounts through the company’s web interface could not access their memoji avatars on WhatsApp Web, unless they had been previously sent and stored in the recent section.
Now, the company has released an update that allows users to access its entire catalog of memoji stickers on the web version of WhatsApp.
Memojis on WhatsApp Web
WhatsApp Web users can access their memoji stickers by following these simple steps:
- Click on the Emoticon option (a smiley face) next to the Attachments option at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the Stickers button (a square with a folded corner).
- Users can not only access their memoji stickers using this option, but they can also access their entire catalog of traditional and animated stickers using this WhatsApp Web trick.
The only problem is that the iPhone user cannot create memoji stickers with this technique directly on the computer. WhatsApp users will still have to create their memoji avatars in Apple’s iMessages app to access memoji stickers in WhatsApp’s iOS-based app and on WhatsApp Web.
