Trump wants prayer venues open because he considers them “essential”

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said today that he considers churches and other places of worship “essential” and called on state governors to authorize their reopening this weekend, despite the covid-19 pandemic.

Trump threatened that if the governors do not obey his orders, he would deauthorize them.

Disease Control and Prevention Center has already prepared guidelines for weeks for the re-opening of places of worship, but the White House refused to disclose them today when Trump abruptly changed course.
