Have you ever used the WhatsApp master emoji? Here we tell you its meaning and its characteristics.
The massification and popularity of emoticons has generated a new way of communicating moods, feelings, reactions and even complete sentences. However, despite having the same Unicode encoding, its interpretation is subject to different cultural contexts depending on the environment of the person who uses them. This is the case of the teacher’s emoji.
The arrival of emojis to the digital world has made it easier for users to express their feelings in conversations on WhatsApp and other platforms. They are generally divided into six categories including yellow faces, food, animals, weather conditions, numbers, and symbols.
This emoji was dubbed “Man Teacher” and was added to Emoji 4.0 in 2016. It has two variations, both male and female. It is a sequence of the emojis “Man” and “School”. Which result in a zero width combination between each character and are displayed as a single emoji on supported platforms.
We can see a distinguished man standing in front of a blackboard, which makes us think that he is going to offer a teaching. Users can apply this emoticon to show off they have the best teacher or to indicate that their new teacher is a good man. Other people who are teachers can use this emoji to say that it is their first day of work or even a woman who uploads a photo with her husband indicating that she is proud of him for an achievement in his profession.
It is important to mention that, despite having the same Unicode coding, each platform can vary the design of each emoji to adapt to its operating system or interface. On many occasions this generates a great difference in the interpretation of the same symbol.
