It was reported that the Blu-ray / DVD BOX compilation volume of the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Kei Toume, Yesterday wo Utatte, barely accumulated 1,074 copies sold in its first week, since its launch on August 5.
This compilation pack includes all twelve episodes of the anime plus some extra benefits, such as a picture book, the soundtrack, and a few others. While overall volume sales in the anime industry have been low recently, just surpassing 1,000 in a week is quite concerning. Some users point out that it is because the direction at the end of the series was quite disappointing when compared to its beginning.
The series premiered on April 4 and had a total of twelve episodes. For his part, Toume began publishing the manga in Business Jump magazine in 1997, and later moved the publication to Grand Jump magazine in November 2011. The play came to an end in June 2015 and Shueisha publishers compiled the story. in eleven volumes.
